چکیده
Background: Bone-only metastatic breast cancer is believed to be non-life-threatening, and mild therapy frequently selected avoid adverse events of drug therapy. However, the prognoses such patients are not well studied. Methods: Patients who received therapies for between 2004 2016 at our institution were divided into “Bone-only metastasis”, “non-visceral”, “visceral” groups based on mode first metastasis, efficacy first-line survival these compared. Results: There 131 eligible patients, bone-only non-visceral, visceral included 26, 25, 80 respectively. The median time (MST) overall (OS) in each group was 35.1, 34.9, 37.4 months, respectively (p=0.71). clinical benefit rates 66.7%, 45%, 69.3%, respectively, MST treatment failure (TTF) 6.3, 5.5, 5.8 showing that did significantly differ among groups. In metastasis group, with <5 metastases tended have a good prognosis, those low nuclear grade long duration had better prognosis than others. Conclusion: similar response other modes prognosis.

Baseline serum NTx levels are prognostic in metastatic breast cancer patients with bone-only metastasis.
BACKGROUND There is significant heterogeneity in survival of patients with metastatic breast cancer who have bone-only metastasis. We studied the correlation of serum N-telopeptide (NTx), a marker of bone resorption, and its correlation with clinical outcomes in patients with metastatic breast cancer with bone-only or bone plus soft tissue metastasis. PATIENTS AND METHODS Serum was taken from...
متن کاملRole of pathologic prognostic factors in breast cancer patients with isolated bone metastasis and relationship between SUVmax and prognostic factors
Introduction: 18F-FDG PET/CT provides very effective results in detecting metastases of breast cancer. In our study, we investigated the relationship between maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax) and prognostic pathologic factors in breast cancer cases with isolated bone metastasis and whether there was any difference in terms of prognostic pathologic factors betwee...
متن کاملIncreased risk of SSEs in bone-only metastatic breast cancer patients treated with zoledronic acid
BACKGROUND Bone represents one of the most common sites to which breast cancer cells metastasize. Patients experience skeletal related adverse events (pathological fractures, spinal cord compressions, and irradiation for deteriorated pain on bone) even during treatment with zoledronic acid (ZA). Therefore, we conducted a retrospective cohort study to investigate the predictive factors for sympt...
متن کاملBone fracture in breast cancer patients with isolated bone metastasis.
AIM To analyse the incidence of bone fracture of breast cancer patients with isolated bone metastasis and its effect on survival. We tried to find an answer to the question of "Can the development of bone fracture be predicted?" METHODS Between 1993-2006, 139 breast cancer patients with isolated bone metastasis were examined. Patients were divided into two groups depending on the development ...
متن کاملPrognostic Factors for Patients with Bone-Only Metastasis in Breast Cancer
PURPOSE Bone is the most frequent site of metastasis among breast cancer patients. We investigated prognostic factors affecting survival following bone-only metastasis in breast cancer patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS The medical records of breast cancer patients who were treated and followed at Gangnam Severance Hospital retrospectively reviewed to identify patients with bone-only metastasis....
